Ghent Marriott Hotel

Our room on the 4th floor was very large, very comfortable and quiet (which we had asked for and were very happy about!). The bathroom and floors were very clean, and we would have given the hotel 10/10, but one pillowcase had a dirty mark on the front side, which should have been seen by the staff during cleaning. Breakfast was excellent and extremely well organised - lots of fresh, hot food to choose from, empty trays being replaced immediately by the chefs, and great service. The location of the hotel is also perfect, with everything within short walking distance, and in a beautiful old building. We recommend the hotel!

Superbly situated for exploring Ghent on foot (and Ghent is well worth exploring). Very modern and comfortable, very professionally run, highly competent and very helpful staff. Very good and easily accessible parking facilities which aren't that common in hotels in this type of location (be sure to follow the hotel's advice and register your car in advance to legally access the city centre).We had a flat tyre on our day of departure, and the manager could not have been more helpful in getting it sorted for us. Thank you, sir!

Excellently located, nice big room with superb view over the city center, definitely worth the extra costs for the view. No street-noise in room. Breakfast was tasty and well organized. We enjoyed the car-free city center of Gent, nicely decorated for Christmas, with lots of things to see and do, and shop. We parked our car in Center Parking (10-minute walk) for a very reasonable € 24,- for the weekend. The two parkings closer by the hotel were both full on the Friday evening of our arrival. All in all we had a great weekend, very enjoyable!

- Staff are excellent and attentive, however no one to help you with your bags during check in. - Price for the location and facilities was reasonable. - AC actually kept the room cold, compared to most European hotels were having an AC is just as useful as using one of those useless toilet hand dryers. - Room is spacious for a couple with 2-3 large bags.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, being in the centre of Ghent. The interior of the public area - bar/cafe, reception was of a beautiful and impressive design. I liked the fact that the old facade of the building facing the canal had been preserved. as part of the hotel. We had room 429 which was comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice on offer.
